The Capitol Connections program is one of the ELFA’s most important advocacy events of the year. It brings Association leaders together for a series of public-policy meetings with Congress and Administration officials to ensure the Association’s message is reaching lawmakers and regulators.
The intent of these meetings is to educate members of Congress and Administration officials on the equipment leasing and finance industry’s overall economic contribution, and its role in the capital and investment in the U.S. In addition, the program is intended to positively influence federal policymakers who set the legislative and regulatory framework for the industry.
Some of the issues that will be discussed include:
- Expired Business Tax Provisions
- Maintain Cost Recovery and Interest Deductions
- ECOA Loan Data Collection on Key Point
LeaseTeam is proud to be part of the group advocating for the equipment leasing and finance industry on tax and financial services matters. As an industry, we need to have a unified voice so policymakers will understand how current issues will affect our industry.
